
MISSION AND GOALS
The RCAR Vehicle Theft and Cyber Security Working Group is a consultative committee of RCAR dedicated to promoting best practice in order to understand insurable risk and the resolution of technical theft and cyber security aspects of motor insurance claims.
The working group will cover security focused areas, new vehicle related technologies that may have an impact on its security and will also include items of specific interest raised by members. Other specialists may be invited on an ad hoc basis as appropriate to the agenda.





AREAS COVERED
The main areas covered by the Working Group are:

Identification of trends and challenges facing members’ cybersecurity and theft teams and which require research and training assistance from RCAR members.

Provide real world information and data to assist with research activities and review the groups outputs.

Consult with other committees, industry bodies and experts to identify trends and emerging issues that need to be on the working group agenda.

Distribute knowledge between all stakeholders on a non-competitive basis.
