Cesvimap is MAPFRE’s R&D hub, specialized in innovation applied to mobility and the insurance sector. We operate as an innovation laboratory focused on developing new products and services based on Usage-Based Insurance (UBI) technologies.

We research new mobility models, work to encourage safe driving, and aim to prevent accidents, with a global vision and a technology‑driven approach. To achieve this, we design, develop, test, and later implement innovative solutions that help MAPFRE lead the transformation of the insurance industry.

Who we are

With this purpose in mind, we analyze mobility and micromobility models such as sharing systems and Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMVs). We also study the performance of emerging technologies, including vehicle automation. Our work combines research, technological innovation, practical experimentation, training, and consulting focused on repair shops, mobility, and the insurance sector.

We address areas such as damage analysis after certified crash tests, the definition of more efficient repair processes, and traffic accident reconstruction. We also manage an Authorized Treatment Facility (ATF), CESVIrecambios, for end‑of‑life vehicles, promoting the circular economy.
